CITC’s four-year Plumbing Program is geared towards helping students learn the ins and outs of installation, repair, and maintenance on different variations of pipe systems. It is a theory/competency-based curriculum offered in multiple locations, with four-hour classes held once a week. Students who can successfully meet a minimum of 216 hours per year for the program’s entire duration are awarded a Certificate of Completion to Journey-Level. The standard curriculum involves four levels, but a fifth level is available for State-Registered Plumbing Apprentices taking classes through CITC.
A variety of major topics in the student’s chosen field are offered through this Commercial Plumbing Program. These include Installation & Service of Potable Water Systems, Basic Electricity, Medical Gas Piping, and Piping for Fuel Gas and Fuel Oil Systems, just to name a few. This program also includes First Aid/CPR Training and OSHA 10 for Construction for the first year.
