Basic Electrical Estimating

Course Description

Class provides understanding of the relationship of (1) architectural, mechanical, site and electrical prints to each other; and (2) scales, symbols, title block and other important areas of blueprints to one another. Covers switchgear one-line schedules, and conduit takeoff, wire takeoff, service takeoff and special takeoffs, as well as spotting hidden problems of takeoff. Perorm light fixture bidding, bid summaries and bid a bidders list. Students are also introduced to computer takeoff as opposed to hand takeoff.

Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be cancelled.

Note: Once on-line enrollment is complete, the CITC office will send a confirmation letter approximately one week before the date of the class. The letter will arrive via mail and contain all the pertinent course information, including class location and driving directions.
